Jamie Keena
- Guitar, Banjo, and more

jamie_keenaIrish music means different things to different people, but Jamieís wide-ranging repertoire accommodates this broad spectrum of tastes. Older audiences usually prefer Irish/American - Tin pan Alley type songs like Galway Bay, Who threw the Overalls in Mrs. Murphyís Chowder?, McNamaraís Band, When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, etc. Younger people, especially ones familiar with the Irish pub scene, often prefer more of the traditional & contemporary Irish ballads and songs like Whiskey in the Jar, Rising of the Moon, Finneganís Wake, Green Alligators, etc. Some Irish songs like Molly Malone. Danny Boy, and Tura Lura Lura, seem to appeal to everyone. Jamie accompanies his singing with guitar or banjo, and gives a taste of old Ireland with instrumental performances on the concertina (a small accordion-like instrument), and tin whistle.

They were absolutely fabulous! Attendees were raving about the music, we even had some groups get up and dance!
